HONDARRIBIA The charming fishing village of Hondarribia is the home base for Cook Drink Eat Spain. It is made up of two parts - the charming Marina district with it's tree-lined pedestrian avenue and the old town on the hill still surrounded by medieval stone walls. Hondarribia has come into its own and is quickly becoming a must-see, must-eat foodie hot spot. It sits at the mouth of the Bidasoa river and shares a border with France. GETTING TO HONDARRIBIA San Sebastian Airport (EAS) is the closest airport to Hondarribia. Although it is called San Sebastian Airport, EAS airport is located in the municipality of Hondarribia. It is only a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride to/from EAS airport to the center of Hondarribia. Iberia Airlines has connections from Madrid and Barcelona.
Bilbao Airport (BIO) is located 76 miles/120 km west of Hondarribia. BIO serves domestic and international airlines.
Biarritz Airport (BIQ) is located 21 miles/35 km northeast of Hondarribia in Biarritz, France. Air France and several smaller European carriers fly from BIQ
